Many local authorities have adopted PRINCE2 as their local project management standard. AFA has extensive experience of helping county, district and metropolitan councils & NHS Trusts embed PRINCE2. Embedding PRINCE2 is a journey, and no two journeys are identical. So this case study draws together our experience with a number of different clients. Typically a local authority wishes to introduce a tailored version of PRINCE2 that links to existing council project management practices or wider financial authorisation rules.

AFA have conducted a number of consultancy assignments to design local versions of PRINCE2. AFA were the authors of 'Tailoring PRINCE2 - the original and most widely researched book of Cabinet Office endorsed guidance, on implementing PRINCE2 to suit local culture, and scaling PRINCE2 to suit individual projects. This gives AFA a unique breadth and depth of knowledge in this arena.

We have created several different tailored versions of PRINCE2. For one client we simply created in-house versions of our standard PRINCE2 training course - a very cost effective solution. For other clients who needed more sophisticated implementations we have included:
