MSP Blended Learning
Released in January 2011, every delegate that books onto an MSP Course with AFA receives free access to our new online MSP Atrium. This secure online document repository will provide a range of value-added resources for use by delegates before, during & after classroom training. An example of what’s included within the Atrium:
Pre course material includes:
- A high level model showing the MSP Framework
- An overview of MSP
- The candidate guidance from the exam board that gives the structure of the exams you will be sitting on the course
- The syllabus for the course, again issued by the Exam Board
- For conversion delegates, the distance learning pack that was also sent out with your joining instructions
Material for use during the course includes:
-
Electronic copies of Sample Papers
- The Official Sample Papers will also be issued to you in paper form on the course. Your trainer will give you detailed advice on when you should attempt questions and when you should look at the answers.
- Detailed rationale documents that explain why each answer in the sample papers is either right or wrong. These have been written by the Chief Examiner and their colleagues who have drafted the sample papers. They will be useful if there is a particular answer that is puzzling you but you should not spend too much time studying them. Its better to study the manual or AFA training hand-outs.
- We have also included AFA Practice Papers for both Foundation and Practitioner Exams. Feel free to have a go at these papers just as soon as you like. We have also given you answers, but do attempt the questions before peeking at the answers!
-
Buyitall documents
- Buyitall is a case study you may be using during the course. So we have made the scenario available to you here.
- We will set exercises both in class and as self study on draft Buyitall documents. After you have had a go at drafting documents yourself, you might like to critique the examples we have provided here. As in the real world, no one is claiming these documents are perfect. They are simply documents colleagues within the programme have drafted. It's really good practice critiquing someone else's draft.
For your use after the course we have again made available electronic copies of Buyitall documents. They are not templates. What will work in one programme would be inappropriate in another programme. And your trainer will discuss this concept with you during your course. However the documents might be helpful as a starting point when you are applying MSP.
If you are already registered you can find the AFA Atrium here.
Alternatively, please find some other useful documents and test questions on the MSP Resources page.
