P3O (Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices) Workshop Round-up
AFA held another very successful workshop in conjunction with the Best Practice User Group (BPUG) on Friday 9 January 2009
This latest event was based around the latest guidance from OGC in the form of Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices (P3O). P3O brings together for the first time in one place principles, processes and techniques to facilitate effective portfolio, programme and project management through enablement, challenge and support structures. These structures also bridge the gap between strategy/policy makers and the delivery arm of an organisation.
Over 30 delegates attended and the session started with a brief overview on P3O and the benefits, followed by smaller facilitated groups looking at;
- Producing a Business Case for implementing P3O
- P3O Models
- Implementing / Re-energising a P3O
- Organisational Maturity
